October 2004
Northern Districts Camp -
JOTA/JOTI weekend 15-17th October at Corra Linn. All groups are invited to
participate in the events which will have internet and radio facilities to
make contact with Scouts all over the world. A range of fun activities has
been organised for all sections on Saturday and Sunday, and a camp badge has
been designed for those participating in activities. Camp fees and forms need
to be submitted to Mary Landers by the 5th of September (yes I know this date
has passed).
November 2004
Launceston Christmas Parade -
Saturday November 27th . Joeys, Cubs and Scouts of the Launceston West Tamar
District will take part in the Launceston Christmas Parade. The theme this
year is an Aussie Christmas.
January 2005
Launceston West Tamar District
meetings take place at Harry Abbott Scout Centre in Launceston, on the second
Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November.
February 2005
Launceston West Tamar District
Swimming Carnival is happening at the Riverside Swimming Centre, in February
2005 (date yet to be confirmed) All groups are invited to participate for the
trophies, to be awarded for Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers. Food and
refreshments will be available for purchase on the night. Further enquiries
